On Tuesday 27th February, 7 of our wonderful Year 5 pupils were joined by pupils from St Nicholas, Parkstone and Tweendykes for a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activity. Mr Wilkinson set the children a very tough challenge of building a bridge, that would span a gap of 40cm, strong enough to support the Humber Education Trust mascot.
The pupils were only allowed to use paper, sellotape and paper clips, but they had a limited budget with which to buy the materials.
Working in groups containing pupils from all of the schools, the pupils had a fantastic time and were able to successfully complete the very difficult task. It was wonderful to see our children come together with their peers from other schools.
A huge well done to all.
